SUNY Korea is established in March 2012 as the first American university established in Korea’s only smart city, Songdo. It is also the first global campus of SUNY and Stony Brook University (SBU), which is one of the biggest and the most recognized university within SUNY, outside of U.S.A in an effort to provide global education to students. Every year, SUNY Korea continues to expand its program offerings in a variety of academic fields such as engineering, fashion, science, and more.

Currently, SUNY Korea is offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering and Technological Systems Management from Stony Brook University (SBU). These programs are operated in two countries, Korea and U.S.A. To provide the same quality of education, all programs are identical to that of SBU and taught by SBU faculty. Upon graduation, all students receive the same diploma issued by SBU.

It is required that students spend one year during their sophomore year at SBU in New York and three years in Songdo. This provides an opportunity for students to experience more diverse cultures and enables them to adapt to different environment which will make them more compatible in this fast growing global society.

To accommodate students from around the globe and to make their college life as the most memorable, we offer affordable on-campus housings, a wide variety of scholarships, and student activities. Students will also have opportunities to form a global network with students from other neighboring universities on the Incheon Global Campus.

At SUNY Korea, we cherish moral values and strive to teach our students to serve others with humility and moral integrity. Our graduates will be history makers and lead the way through changes to make this world a better place for everyone.
