SUNY Korea Career Center holds “Career Talk To You #3”

December 4, 2019 – The SUNY Korea Career Center held its third series of “Career Talk To You” with special guest speaker Dr. Yun Tae Lee, President and CEO of Samsung Electro-mechanics, in early December. Dr. Lee’s talked focused on “Changes in the ICT Industry with the 4th Industrial Revolution.”


Established in 1973, Samsung Electro-mechanics is a developer and manufacturer of mechanical and electronic components. The company has emerged as a key electronic component developer in the world by utilizing its technological excellence in high-frequency wireless materials and power/precision mechanics.

 

Dr. Lee spoke about employment prospects in light of emerging AI technology. He emphasized “reading a trend and swimming with the tide” and “specialty (expertise) + insight (broaden view)” to quickly adapt and thrive in our rapidly changing world. SUNY Korea students, faculty and staff attended the talk to hear about changes in the ICT industry and their impact.
