On July 26, Mr. Aaron Tarver, the new Cultural Attaché of the U.S. Embassy in Korea, visited SUNY Korea campus.

Ms. YoungKum Lee, a Public Affairs Assistant of Mr. Aaron Tarver, visited SUNY Korea as well along with Mr. Tarver as he joined the U.S. Embassy in Korea last May.

The meeting was held upon Mr. Tarver's request to have a better understanding of the American University in Korea as he is in charge of Culture, Education and Exchange sectors of the embassy.  He met Dr. JongSoo Kim, the Vice President of SUNY Korea and spent time on campus to get to know the university and its environment by doing the campus tour.

Mr. Aaron Tarver stated that "I am very excited to visit the first American university, SUNY Korea, that was established by the support of the Korean Government." He then added, "We look forward to collaborating with SUNY Korea to make a good model for the higher education system. "

Dr. JongSoo Kim, the Vice President of SUNY Korea, said "We are very honored to meet Mr. Tarver here on our campus ... SUNY Korea will be a good case and will keep an effort to nurture our global leaders who will lead the world."
