If you wish to return to SUNY Korea FIT after taking a college withdrawal (leave of absence), please read the below instructions carefully and follow the steps one by one. At SUNY Korea FIT, 'Readmission' refers to the process of returning to studies after a leave of absence, known as '복학' in Korean.
Please arrange a meeting with your Department Coordinator first to discuss the Readmission.
Complete the ‘Graduation Evaluation’ form and submit it to your Department Coordinator. Below is an example of the Graduation Evaluation Form you can refer to.
After you fill out the Graduation Evaluation form, please send the form to the Department Coordinator. Once the Department coordinator reviews the form and provides comments, they will send the form back to you.
When you receive the form from the Department coordinator, please make sure to fill out ‘Admission for Readmission’ at the link provided below. The FIT New York can only start the process after you submit the ‘Application to Readmission’ online. Link to the ‘Admission for Readmission’
Please note that the readmission process could take up to 1-2 weeks to a month. If you didn’t hear back from the Department Coordinator that your readmission process is complete, please make sure to contact them.
Returning student’s course registration occurs approximately a week later than current students.
If you were a scholarship recipient before taking a leave of absence, please refer to the scholarship reinstatement below. Link to the scholarship reinstatement
Some degree programs have made changes to curriculum in recent years. You must meet current degree requirements. For example, if you had two classes to complete when you left FIT, you may have more to complete in order to be awarded the current degree.
If you were academically dismissed from FIT, please reach out to your Department Coordinator upon readmission.
