Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Newly Created Mechanical Engineering Program at SUNY Korea

 

 

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at SUNY Korea (State University of New York, Korea) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty positions in Design and Manufacturing with emphasis on Dynamics and Control. SUNY Korea is located in Incheon Free Trade Zone (IFEZ) in Song-do, South Korea, about 1 hour from Seoul and about 30 minutes by car from the Incheon International Airport. SUNY Korea is committed to delivering high-quality BE, MS and PhD programs in Mechanical Engineering while providing the full American university experience in Korea. The successful candidate must have an earned doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or a closely-related field, a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching, and the ability to establish and sustain an externally funded research program. Research focus in experimental work is particularly sought. Qualifications include: a) Experience with the American educational system (having taught, or received the doctoral degree, in an American university), b) Fluency in written and spoken English language, c) Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and graduate students, and d) Interest in cross-cultural communications and enthusiasm in new experiences.

 

 

The position is targeted at the Assistant Professorship level, but experienced candidates with outstanding credentials may be considered for Associate or Full Professorship. We seek candidates with the potential to develop significant and internationally recognized research program, and who will actively contribute to the core graduate and undergraduate teaching mission of the department.
