SUNY Korea Spring Festival 2026 Brings Campus Together in UNISON
On Saturday, May 16, 2026, the SUNY Korea Quad transformed into a vibrant celebration of music, food, performances, and community during the highly anticipated SUNY Korea Spring Festival. This year’s theme was “UNISON: All in Sync,” and students, faculty, families, friends, and visitors from across Incheon gathered together to enjoy one of the most exciting events of the year. The campus was filled with energy from the moment guests started arriving. Decorated booths lined the quad, offering a wide variety of activities, games, food, and interactive experiences. Student organizations and clubs worked hard to create fun and welcoming spaces for everyone attending. Visitors enjoyed a wide spectrum, from challenge booths and DIY activities to food stands and play zones, while food trucks served delicious meals and snacks throughout the day. The event was hosted by the incredible MC duo, Sepehr and Yasemin, whose enthusiasm kept the crowd excited from beginning to end. The festival opened with a lively MC performance that immediately energized the whole audience and set the tone for the rest of the evening. One of the highlights of the festival was the wide range of student performances that showcased the talent and creativity within the SUNY Korea community. Dance performances by clubs such as GLO Club and EMEIS brought excitement and powerful stage presence, while live music performances from groups including White Chamber, Dynamics, and the ME Faculty Band entertained the crowd with unforgettable songs and performances. Moreover, the festival featured a stunning fashion show created in collaboration with the Natural Dye Garden Club and SUNY Korea fashion design students. Each piece displayed on the runway was thoughtfully dyed, curated, designed, and sewn by the students themselves, transforming fabric into wearable art. In addition to student performances, the festival featured an impressive lineup of special guest artists who elevated the event to another level. Artists including Moong Myang, BE'O, Car, the garden, CHUU, Dept, KIIRAS, Layone, and Lee Changsub delivered unforgettable performances that had the crowd singing, cheering, and dancing together. From Layone’s energetic rap stage to Lee Changsub’s emotional and heartwarming closing performance, each artist brought their own unique charm and atmosphere to the festival. Their performances became unforgettable moments for everyone in attendance and truly captured the spirit of the event. Overall, the 2026 SUNY Korea Spring Festival was a tremendous success. With amazing performances, delicious food, engaging booths, and a strong sense of community, the festival created lasting memories for everyone who attended. [Student Reporter] Young, Wild, & Free: SUNY Korea’s Spring Festival Brings Campus to Life
The SUNY Korea Quad was filled with excitement and energy as people gathered for the SUNY Korea Spring Festival, “Young, Wild, & Free,” which took place on Friday, May 23. The annual spring event served as a rich celebration of youth, creativity, and community. Kicking off at 3 p.m., the festival grounds came alive with interactive booths hosted by various student organizations. Activities ranged from paint-by-numbers mural painting to a shoe toss, mini-putt challenge, and more. Students also served refreshing food and drinks, including bingsu (a Korean shaved ice dessert), jeon (Korean pancakes), and lemonade. All booths were designed to engage visitors while promoting student-led initiatives. A standout event at the festival was the student-organized fashion show led by the Natural Dyeing Garden Club (NDGC), which showcased sustainable garments created by FIT students using naturally dyed fabrics. Students modeled these pieces down the runway to a backdrop of alternative electronic music. A set design featuring caution tape and distressed fabric emphasized the show’s central theme: “Dystopian Manifesto.” As the sun set, the festival's main stage lit up with engaging performances that captivated the crowd. The evening began with student performances from dance teams EMEIS and GLO, along with live music by student bands DYNAMICS and White Chamber. As night fell, the professional musical lineup took over, featuring some of Korea’s top artists and rising stars: LeeHi, known for her soulful vocals and emotional ballads, had the audience singing and swaying in unison. LUCY, a youthful band, showcased their fresh and vibrant rock-pop sound with a performance that left the audience energized. 1chika delivered a mesmerizing performance that highlighted his vocal skills and emotive style. The “Young, Wild, & Free” Spring Festival was a joyful celebration and a reflection of SUNY Korea’s dynamic campus culture. Through student creativity, exciting performances, and shared school spirit, the festival created lasting memories for all in attendance. As finals loom, the event served as a timely reminder to students of the strong and supportive community they share on SUNY Korea’s campus. [Student Reporter] 2024 Spring Festival a Day of Delight
SUNY Korea's Undergraduate Student Council (USC) and Student Services organized the 2024 Spring Festival on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the SUNY Korea Quad. The event was open for all to attend and welcomed more than a thousand students from all IGC universities. The festival featured a variety of events such as club booths, a fashion show, student performances, lucky draws, and special guests. In addition, there were food trucks with various traditional Korean foods for students to enjoy, in addition to the festival itself. The festival’s club booths were a distinctive part of the event, involving students in a variety of activities where they collected stamps. Booths were set up by the university departments and student clubs, providing services such as photo sessions, paint-by-numbers, leadership quizzes, free coupons, perfume-making, and other engaging activities. Once participants collected stamps from different booths, they were eligible for prizes, enhancing their enjoyment. The Spring Festival of course could not be complete without student performances, the range of which was varied, from dances to performances consisting of both Korean and classical instruments. Numerous students won cash prizes in a lucky draw that raised excitement and enriched the joyful atmosphere of the evening. The main part of the festival was a fantastic musical event, headlined by an impressive line-up of special guests including BOL4, EPEX, fromis_9, Kid Milli, and Younha. Every performer brought their unique style to the stage, and each of them captivated the audience with cheerful performances. Special guests offered participants dynamic musical singing, vibrant and fiery songs, rap, and powerful captivating duets. The diverse performances created an amazing musical night for all attendees. Reflecting on the event, the Spring Festival was a huge success, giving attendees an unforgettable opportunity to take part in a highly anticipated night. The festival offered an enjoyable break before students' final exams, leaving them excited and thrilled about upcoming activities. The 2024 Spring Festival demonstrated the active campus life at SUNY Korea alongside creating a strong sense of community and friendship among participants. The efforts of the USC and Students Services with the sponsorship of the IGC Foundation to create such an anticipated event ensure the Spring Festival’s continued success in years ahead.
