Business Management Professor Younggeun Lee Receives Prestigious 2026 Emerging Scholar Award from the Academy of Management (AOM)​

Professor Younggeun Lee in the Department of Business Management at SUNY Korea has been selected as the recipient of the 2026 Emerging Scholar Award by the Management History Division of the Academy of Management (AOM).

The Academy of Management is the premier global professional association for management and organization scholars worldwide. Its Emerging Scholar Award is a highly competitive honor bestowed upon early-career scholars who have demonstrated exceptional research excellence, scholarly rigor, and significant impact in the field.

Dr. Lee’s research explores entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial passion, decision-making, and management history. He has established a prolific academic record, publishing over 40 peer-reviewed articles in top-tier journals, including the Journal of Business Research, Organization Studies, and Group & Organization Management.

In addition to his research contributions, Dr. Lee serves in key editorial leadership roles, including Editor-in-Chief of the New England Journal of Entrepreneurship and Editor of the Journal of Management History. He was also recognized in 2024 as one of the High-Impact Global Micro-, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) Researchers by the International Council for Small Business (ICSB).
