FIT Faculty Represent Korea at Prestigious 2025 Fashion Art Exhibition in Tokyo
Two FIT professors, Professor Hyemin Kang of the Fashion Design Department and Professor Linda Kim of the Fashion Business Management Department, are currently participating in the 2025 International Fashion Art Invitational Exhibition, an event that celebrates the 60th anniversary of diplomatic normalization between Korea and Japan. This year’s exhibition is presented under the theme “Resonance of K-Fashion: From Tradition to Innovation,” highlighting the rich cultural dialogue between heritage and contemporary fashion. The exhibition, held at the Bunka Gakuen Costume Museum in Tokyo, Japan, brings together 81 fashion art artists from nine countries. Their works explore how traditional aesthetics continue to inspire modern creative practices, offering visitors a unique look into the evolving landscape of fashion art. Hosted by the Korea Fashion & Culture Association, the 11-day exhibition runs from November 22 to December 4, 2025. The event is supported by major cultural and industry organizations, including the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korean Cultural Center at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Japan, the Korea Federation of Textile Industries, the Korea Textile Trade Association, the Korea Fashion Association, and the Korea Federation of Textile Fashion Associations. Through their participation, Professors Kang and Kim contribute to strengthening global fashion dialogue and showcasing the innovative spirit of Korean fashion on an international stage.
