The first FIT Alumni Talk of the semester, “My Fashion Startup Story”, was successfully held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Academic Building C107.
During this event, Haeun Choi, a distinguished FBM graduate from SUNY Korea, shared her inspiring journey as one of the pioneering figures in the Korean sustainable fashion market. After entering FIT SUNY Korea in 2018 and pursuing her further studies in the New York campus, Haeun Choi is now the CEO of Greenest - a fashion brand that advocates for responsible and sophisticated fashion, with a strong commitment to increasing the accessibility of sustainable fashion. Notably, her successful brand, Greenest, has gained recognition through appearances in various TV shows, K-dramas, and news outlets.
In an era where global consciousness is increasingly focused on environmentally responsible business practices, sustainable fashion has emerged as a highly sought-after subject within the fashion industry. During the session, participants had the opportunity to gain real-world insights into sustainable fashion development and receive guidance on advancing their careers in the industry.
