A residential college is a division of a university that places academic activity in a community setting of students and faculty. E.g. Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Doxford. Cambridge, etc.

03. How?
1. Campus-Wide Events
SUNY Korea creates communities that enhance learning and engagement by interacting with faculty, staff, and fellow Students on campus. Events push the university to encourage students to engage With thought and action that is different from their own! ig. Special Lecture, Professor Lecture Series, Music Concert, Workshop, Community Services, etc.
2. Residence Hall Program
A residential college is a collegiate residential environment in which live-in Resident Advisors play an integral role in the programming experience and leadership of the community. Some may have features that include: Weekly check-in With Resident Advisors, Floor & Residence Hall programming
Under the Residential College (RC) are 5 SUNY Korea Houses that are made up of 4-6 floor communities. The 5 SUNY Korea Houses’ names (Key, Light, Exemplar, Inspirer, and Pioneer) imply the philosophy, value, and spirit of SUNY Korea.
RC Events (House & Floor)
Each semester, each House hosts an event for the students with various themes and activities such as Easter egg hunts, creating your own mini terrarium, solving riddles in the escape room, designing your vision board, and more! Not only are there campus wide events, but the Resident Advisors (RA) also host smaller events that are open just for their floor residents. The events provide an opportunity for the students to mingle and get involved in the campus community.
Freshmen Mini Cafe
After assisting the freshmen with their residence hall check-in, the RAs come together as one to host the Freshmen Mini Cafe event in the evening! Games and snacks are set up to provide a friendly and chill atmosphere for the new students as they start their journey in the residence halls and at SUNY Korea.
