Fashion plays an integral role in the pantheon of superheroes and heroines. The costume is the most recognizable trait of the superhero; the power is codified in the clothes and is inextricably linked to the superhero’s identity. Clothing has transformative power. It can conceal and reveal our identities, serve as a protective function from nature’s elements, express our individuality, and can be used as armor against the psychological battles from our internal and external forces. When we put on a piece of clothing it can help us feel more confident and empowered. In this fun and interactive workshop; we will explore the transformative power of clothing and gain meaningful introspection as you create your own superhero/heroine story.
