Incheon International Organization Career Exploration Program

Dear Students,

 

Incheon City is seeking participants for the "International Organization Job Experience Program," which aims to provide local youth with the opportunity to gain career experience related to international organizations. The program is designed to enhance both access to and understanding of global institutions.

  

1. Host Institution:

1) United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction - Northeast Asia Office and Global Education and Training Institute (UNDRR ONEA & GETI)

2) Green Climate Fund (GCF)   

2. Number of Participants: 1 for each institution 

3. Position Type: Volunteer (Please note: this is not an official internship position affiliated with the organization) 

4. Application Deadline: 5PM on Friday, June 13, 2025 

5. Eligibility Requirements:

  • Fluent English speakers who are either residents of Incheon or enrolled in a university/graduate school located in Incheon
  • Fluent English speakers who graduated from a high school in Incheon and are currently enrolled in or have graduated from a university/graduate school
  • Current interns at international organizations located in Incheon who are also residents of Incheon or attending universities within Incheon
  • Not eligible:
    - Non-residents of Incheon

    ※ Exception: those who graduated from a high school in Incheon or are attending/have graduated from a university in Incheon and can provide proof
    - Foreign nationals
    - Individuals who have previously participated in the same International Organization Career Exploration Program (duplicate participation in the same organization is not allowed)

    ※ However, applying to a different international organization is permitted if no prior experience exists with that organization

6. Application Method: Submit the required documents via email to careercenter@sunykorea.ac.kr

7. Required Documents: English Resume, English Statement of Purpose and Consent to the Collection and Use of Personal Information

8. Program Details

  • Duration: 3 months (from July 1, 2025 to September 30, 2025)
  • Location: Green Climate Fund (GCF), G-Tower, Songdo, Incheon
  • Working Hours: 7 hours per day, 5 days per week

※ Matters related to attendance such as holidays, leave, or early departure must be coordinated with the designated contact at the organization.

  • Scope of Work: Assisting with administrative tasks at the international organization, interpretation/translation, event support, and more

9. Support and Benefits

  • Activity Stipend: Participants will receive an hourly stipend based on Korea’s minimum wage (₩10,030/hour), calculated according to daily activity logs.
  • Insurance: Participants will be covered by group accident insurance.
  • Certificate of Participation
