Stony Brook University SUNY Korea

In partnership with the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), SUNY Korea is recruiting a delegation of 3 students to participate in the Korean University Student Delegation to the UN Headquarters program. Selected students will represent Korea at the UN Headquarters in New York from January 18 to 24, 2026.

1. Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be a Korean citizen
• Be an enrolled or currently on-leave student at our university (minimum 1 semester completed)
• Have an interest in international organizations and global engagement
• Be eligible to enter the United States (no travel restrictions)
• Be capable of presenting and discussing topics in English

2. Program Schedule & Key Dates

• Application Deadline: Sunday, October 12, 2025
• Interviews for Shortlisted Candidates: Tuesday, October 14, 2025
• Final Selection Announcement: Thursday, October 16, 2025
• Program Fee Payment Deadline: Friday, October 24, 2025
• Mandatory Orientation & Pre-Training Sessions (in Seoul):

Session 1: Saturday, November 8, 2025 (10:00 – 13:00)
Session 2: Saturday, November 22, 2025 (10:00 – 13:00)
Session 3: Saturday, November 29, 2025 (10:00 – 13:00)

• Team Projects & Presentation Preparation: November 2025 – January 2026
• UN Headquarters Visit and Final Presentations: January 19 (Mon) – January 23 (Fri), 2026

**Arrival in New York: Sunday, January 18, 2026 / Departure from New York: Saturday, January 24, 2026

4. Program Cost (Participant’s Responsibility)

• KRW 2,700,000 (includes 6 nights’ accommodation near the UN Headquarters)
• Not included: airfare, ESTA, travel insurance, daily expenses, meals, etc
• University Support: KRW 500,000
