The Public Diplomacy Section of the US Embassy Seoul invites students to join the American Diplomacy House (ADH) Academy: a 10-month leadership development program where participants can experience “Public Diplomacy” in various aspects and lead their own projects at the American Diplomacy House. Students that are in Busan, Gwangju, Pyeongtaek, Gangneung, and Jeju can participate in the program through the “American Corner.”
US Embassy Seoul operates 5 American Corner programs (Busan, Gwangju, Pyeongtaek, Gangneung, and Jeju) through partnerships with the American Diplomacy House and Korean public institutions that are located within the embassy.
Key Activities
Opportunities to engage in various diplomatic programs that are only available to academy participants
Lectures from various US ambassadors, VIPs, and distinguished leaders from various fields
Participation in Diplomacy Simulation events that discuss global challenges that the international community faces with US ambassadors
Mentorship programs in small groups with US ambassadors
Team-based planning and implementation of public diplomacy projects

Various opportunities to participate in VIP led public diplomacy events that are exclusive to academy participants
Eligibility to be qualified as a US Department of State and US Embassy program alumni and aspects to participate in other related programs
Opportunities to build professional networks and receive training to enhance public diplomacy related competencies
Transportation Support
Students that are located outside of Seoul can participate in the American Corner program and those that participate in the Seoul American Diplomacy House program can receive transportation fees.
Eligibility
Students that are available during September 2025 – June 2026 and can participate in the events that are hosted by the Seoul American Diplomacy House (All events will be held in person)
Students that are deeply interested in international relations and diplomacy
Students up to their 1st semester, Senior year are eligible to join (Including students that are currently on leave – should state the last enrolled semester in the application)
Must be able to communicate in English (All programs will be held in English)
