1. Before the Interview
Research the company and role thoroughly: Understand the company’s mission, recent news, industry trends, and job description. Prepare to tailor your responses using this knowledge.
Identify your top 2–3 strengths related to the job: Link your qualifications, coursework, or experiences to what the company is looking for.
Practice common questions using the STAR method: Use the Situation, Task, Action, and Result structure to answer behavioral questions clearly and confidently.
Prepare 2–3 thoughtful questions to ask at the enㅇ: Show genuine interest by asking about the team, growth opportunities, or company culture.
2. During the Interview
Dress appropriately: Choose business casual or formal attire depending on the company. It’s better to be slightly overdressed than underdressed.
Be on time: Aim to arrive 10–15 minutes early to demonstrate punctuality and reduce stress.
Speak clearly and at a steady pace: Take a breath before answering to collect your thoughts. Keep your tone professional and calm.
Show non-verbal engagement: Smile, maintain eye contact, and nod occasionally to show that you’re actively listening and engaged.
3. After the Interview
Send a thank-you email within 24–48 hours: Mention specific moments from the conversation and express appreciation for the opportunity.
Reflect on your performance: Note what went well and areas for improvement. This will help you prepare for future interviews.
4. Additional Resources
Sample STAR Answers & Behavioral Questions: Practice answering questions like:
“Tell me about a time you worked in a team.”
