Attention Students: Please read this notice carefully. It contains important deadlines and instructions regarding graduation applications and BFA/BS admissions.

1. Applying for Graduation

Deadline: Monday, December 1, 2025

1. Eligibility to graduate
   Students officially graduate only when all degree requirements are completed and a graduation application is submitted..

2. Declaration of Degree Completion
   • ‘Graduation’ at FIT refers to degree completion, not the ceremony.
   • When applying for Graduation, select ‘August’. Degree award review will take place on August 31, 2026. 

• If you select an incorrect graduation date, please contact the FIT New York Registrar’s Office at fit_registrar@fitnyc.edu. When reaching out, be sure to include your full name and Student ID.

3. AAS Diploma
   • Physical diplomas are issued only after completing all requirements and clearing all holds. 
   • Diplomas are sent directly from the FIT Registrar's Office, New York Campus.

2. BFA/BS Admission Application

Deadline: Thursday, January 1, 2026

1. To continue at FIT for a bachelor’s degree, you must first apply for AAS graduation, then submit your Bachelor’s application in MyFIT.
