Fall 2026 On Campus Housing Resident Selection Process (Additional: June 5 - 5 PM, June 11)

We are receiving additional applications for the Fall 2026 Resident Selection Process. Keep note of the application deadline and submit all correct document(s) to be considered. Those selected during this additional period will be placed on the waitlist. If you have already received the eligible or waitlist result email on June 4, then you don't have to submit this additional application form
 

The Resident Selection Process was implemented in order to prioritize on campus housing for students whose residency is far from campus. Even if you were eligible the previous semester, you are required to submit the application with the correct document(s) again each semester.

Priority will be given in the order of the following criteria:
1. Live on campus requirement
2. Permanent address
3. Academic level (U1 lower grade first)
4. Tiebreaker (can be based on actual distance from campus via public transportation, academic standing or other criteria)


All applicants interested in on campus housing will be required to submit the required document(s) correctly during the application period to be considered. Only document(s) issued after May 11, 2026 will be considered (NEW DATE).
*Anyone found to have submitted false documentation will be subject to disciplinary action and will not be eligible for housing priority. In addition, applications with document(s) that do not follow the mentioned guidelines will not be considered.
 

  • Korean citizens & international students WITH permanent address in Korea
    Korean
    : Your Certificate of Household Register (주민등록등본 or 주민등록초본)
    - You can download the Certificate online via the 정부24 website (https://www.gov.kr)
    - You may cover your family members' personal ID number for privacy reasons (required to show YOUR information for verification purposes)
    - Your application will be cancelled if you upload your Korean national ID card, driver's license or passport
    International: Your Certification of Legal Status for Alien Registration (외국인등록사실증명서)
  • International students WITHOUT permanent residency in Korea (has no family residing in Korea)
    - Passport
    - Front side of your Residence Card (RC)
  • Overseas Korean WITHOUT permanent residency in Korea (has no direct family residing in Korea)
    - Narrative
    - Supporting documentation (ex. visa record, parents' certificate of employment & certificate of family relations, etc.)

 


TIMELINE:

  1. Application & Document Submission Period: June 5 (Fri) - 5 PM, June 11 (Thurs) / KST

  2. Waitlist Result Announcement: After 3 PM, June 18 (Thurs)

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • All students who are selected during this additional period will be placed on the waitlist.
  • Incorrect and/or false documentation will not be accepted and your application will be automatically cancelled without prior notice. It is your responsibility to make sure that you submit all the correct document(s).
  • If you have any questions regarding your application, please contact the RC Team before the application deadline.
  • Even if you are selected, you may be restricted from living in the IGC Residence Hall if you have any housing violation records.
  • The above timeline schedule and information is subject to change. Any updates will be notified via email and it is your responsibility to check your inbox/spam folder. The information will also be uploaded on the SUNY Koreawebsite's notice board.
