Stony Brook University SUNY Korea

In partnership with the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), SUNY Korea is recruiting three students to participate in the 19th WFUNA College Leaders at the UN: Korea (CLUN) program.

Selected students will participate as part of the Korean student delegation and take part in the program at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from January 24 to 30, 2027.

1. Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be a Korean citizen
• Be an enrolled or currently on-leave student at SUNY Korea
• Have an interest in international organizations and global engagement
• Be eligible to travel to the United States (no travel restrictions)
• Be able to present and participate in discussions in English

2. Program Schedule & Key Dates

• Application Deadline: Monday, October 5, 2026
• Interviews for Shortlisted Candidates: Wednesday, October 7, 2026
• Final Selection Announcement: Thursday, October 8, 2026
   
• Program Fee Payment Deadline: Wednesday, October 21, 2026 (13:00)
• Mandatory Orientation & Pre-Training Sessions (in Seoul):
  - Session 1: Saturday, November 7, 2026 (10:00 – 13:00)
  - Session 2: Saturday, November 21, 2026 (10:00 – 13:00)
  - Session 3: Saturday, November 28, 2026 (10:00 – 13:00)
• Team Projects & Presentation Preparation: November 2026 – January 2027
• UN Headquarters Visit & Final Presentations: January 25 (Mon) – January 29 (Fri), 2027

**Arrival in New York: Sunday, January 24, 2027 / Departure from New York: Saturday, January 30, 2027

3. Required Documents

• Completed Application Form (attached)
• Free-form Self-Introduction in English
• Copy of official English test scores and relevant certificates (optional)

4. Program Cost (Participant Responsibility)

• Program Fee: KRW 2,700,000 (includes 6 nights of accommodation near the UN Headquarters)
• Not included: Airfare, ESTA, travel insurance, personal expenses, meals, and other individual expenses
• University Support: KRW 500,000 per selected student
