[Call for Applications] GCF 46th Board Meeting Volunteers (Apply by October 19)
Date Created 2026.09.30Hits21
We are pleased to introduce the GCF 46th Board Meeting Volunteers opportunity for students interested in gaining international volunteer experience. GCF (Green Climate Fund) is looking for 24+ volunteers to fill up several slots at the 46th Board Meeting.
There is a shrinking window of opportunity to address the climate crisis. The average global temperature is currently estimated to be 1.1°C above pre‑industrial levels. Based on existing trends, the world could cross the 1.5°C threshold within the next two decades and the 2°C threshold early in the second half of the century.
Limiting global warming to 1.5°C is still narrowly possible and will be determined by the investment decisions made over the next decade. The Green Climate Fund (GCF)—a critical element of the historic Paris Agreement—is the world’s largest climate fund, mandated to support developing countries in raising and realizing their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) toward low‑emission, climate‑resilient development pathways.
Climate change also presents businesses with unprecedented opportunities for sustainable growth and investment. GCF mobilizes financial flows from the private sector toward impactful and profitable climate‑smart investment opportunities.
If you are interested in gaining valuable volunteer experience in an international event setting while learning more about the work of GCF, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
